Un leader giovanissimo che ha già conquistato le platee di mezzo mondo mette a fuoco il progetto artistico più ambizioso della sua carriera. Per fare ciò si avvale del contributo del giovane astro nascente Dino Rubino al pianoforte e di una ritmica tra le più esaltanti , solide e creative che il jazz italiano possa vantare. Paolino Dalla Porta ha una storia che la dice davvero lunga sulla sua capacità di apportare estro e creatività. Anche in questo caso la sua personalità ha conferito armonia ed eleganza unitamente a Stefano Bagnoli, the “ brushman” come molti ormai lo definiscono, batterista dotato di un interplay ed una tecnica sopraffina, tale da poterlo descrivere come uno tra gli indiscussi talenti del nostro panorama.
Questo disco rappresenta un cambio di marcia, un ulteriore step in avanti dell’artisticità di Cafiso. Le sue doti tecniche sono mirabilmente messe al servizio di una maturità musicale e compositiva eccezionali, come forse come mai si era sentito prima e che ne fanno davvero oggi un faro del jazz nazionale nel mondo più che mai. Un disco fondamentale non solo per Cafiso ma anche per il jazz italiano. Cafiso ed il quartetto 4out ci regalano un disco con un’intensità espressiva che pochi al mondo sanno comunicare.
A young leader who has already conquered audiences across the world focuses on the most ambitious artistic project of his career. He makes this record with the contribution of the young rising star Dino Rubino on piano and one of the most exciting, strong and creative Italian jazz rhythmic section: Paolino Dalla Porta ( double bass), has a story that really says a lot about his ability to bring inspiration and creativity. Again his personality gave harmony and elegance together with Stefano Bagnoli, ( the “Brushman” as people now call him), a drummer with an interplay and an excellent technique for other undisputed talent in Europe.
This record represents a change of gear, a further step forward in artistic value Cafiso. His technical skills are admirably placed at the service of a great musical and compositional maturity as perhaps had never heard before and make it really now a lighthouse and a national pride of the jazz world. Cafiso Quartet 4out is giving us an expressive intensity that few in the world can communicate.
