Musiche per il proprio tempo è un cammino attraverso luoghi fisici e mentali dove tutto è musica: la risacca del mare, il gioco di bambini, il vociare in un mercato o il rumore di fondo di una strada.
L’opera è concepita come una suite per basso elettrico e live electronics e si propone di esplorare la composizione per basso elettrico oltre gli stereotipi dello strumento. Il basso fluisce fuori dal tempo, fretless, fretted, puro, effettato, profondo, delicato, inciso in un ambiente siderale ottenuto grazie all’attenzione dedicata al momento della registrazione. Musiche per il proprio tempo è un disco altamente curato nelle tecniche bassistiche e nelle tecniche di ripresa, un lavoro che nel suono acquisisce la semplicità di un sussurro, una riflessione come la voce dell’autore che ci parla inaspettatamente.
La tecnica compositiva si caratterizza per l’uso di accordi semplici e per l’uso di un forte movimento contrappuntistico, spesso con reiterazione di alcuni elementi, cone nello stile barocco. Significatica importanza riveste l’attenzione alla purezza timbrica.

This work is grafted into the contemporary trend that has among the most authoritative artists of reference the American Steve Raich, Paul Drescher, Michael Myman, Philippe Glass, or more “bassistically” Michael Manring, Steve Lawson, Yves Carbonne, Jonas Hellborg. Music for one’s time is a journey through physical and mental places where everything is music: the undertow of the sea, children’s games, the shouting in a market or the background noise of a street. The work is conceived as a suite for electric bass and live electronics and aims to explore the composition for electric bass beyond the stereotypes of the instrument. The bass flows out of time, fretless, fretted, pure, effective, deep, delicate, engraved in a sidereal environment obtained thanks to the attention dedicated to the moment of recording. Musiche per il tuo tempo is a highly refined record in bass techniques and shooting techniques, a work that acquires the simplicity of a whisper in the sound, a reflection like the voice of the author who speaks to us unexpectedly. The compositional technique is characterized by the use of simple chords and the use of a strong contrapuntal movement, often with reiteration of some elements, such as in the Baroque style. The attention to tonal purity is of significant importance.
