La musica attraverso le emozioni e le sensazioni è rivelatrice dell’anima. Partendo da questo assioma il pianista compositore Mario Zara ha registrato questo disco per Abeat Records. Le influenze sono molteplici, da Keith Jarrett a Bill Evans, dalla musica classica alla canzone popolare italiana, il tutto tradotto in un linguaggio jazz moderno e assolutamente personale.In tutti i brani, sia quelli originali che negli standards (italiani: Riz Ortolani, Maurizio Fabrizio e americani: Henry Mancini), si percepisce uno spiccato senso per la melodia, spesso accentuato da ritardi nell’esecuzione delle singole note che trasmettono una forte tensione emotiva: rappresentativi in questo senso sono i due brani “Lettera a Mirò” ed “Almeno tu nell’universo”.
“Songs” rappresenta la Musica intesa come l’arte dei sogni, ovvero la chiave d’accesso alla propria anima.

We can hear many musical influences: Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, classical music, opera and italian popular music, all translate in a modern and personal jazz language In all of the takes, both originals and standards (italiansby Riz Ortolani, Maurizio Fabrizio and one american by Henry Mancini) we can hear a clear sense of melody, often emphasized by delayng the single notes and trasmitting a great emotional tension (particularly on “Lettera a Mirò” and “Almeno tu nell’universo”).
Songs represents the Music understood as the art of…dreams, or the key access to the “soul”.
