Wheeler\u2019s mood \u00e8 capitanato dal sorprendente trombettista Fabrizio Gaudino, coadiuvato da alcuni tra i pi\u00f9 prestigiosi nomi del panorama jazzistico italiano: Roberto Cipelli al piano ed Attilio Zanchi al contrabbasso, un duo che vanta collaborazioni internazionali (e, tra le altre cose, stabili partner di Paolo Fresu nel suo ormai mitico quintetto) e Diana Torto, cantante dalla voce straordinaria che col grande Kenny Wheeler, collabora stabilmente da anni.
\nUna formazione di questo tipo, evoca, per la sua peculiare costituzione, il sound del musicista canadese, che in pi\u00f9 lavori discografici ha scelto di non impiegare la batteria. L\u2019aspetto lirico ed espressivo di Wheeler \u00e8 qui reso magistralmente grazie all\u2019intensit\u00e0 della tromba di Gaudino e alla bellezza timbrica di Diana Torto, meraviglioso contraltare. Una musica godibile e raffinata. Sonorit\u00e0 eteree che suggestionano l\u2019ascoltatore e lo guidano in un viaggio musicale dove non mancano momenti di sorprendente energia.

His particular style is different from all that is the American jazz tradition. Wheeler’s mood is led by amazing trumpeter Fabrizio Gaudino, assisted by some of the most prestigious names on the Italian jazz scene: Roberto Cipelli ( piano) and Attilio Zanchi ( doublebass), a duo with international collaborations (and, among other things, stable partners of Paolo Fresu in his now legendary quintet) and Diana Torto, a singer with an extraordinary voice who is collaborating with the great Kenny Wheeler since many years. This quartet evokes, by its peculiar constitution, the sound of the Canadian musician, who has often decided, in most recording sessions, to do not use the drums. The lyrical and expressive Wheeler is here rendered brilliantly thanks to the intensity of the trumpet of Gaudino and the beauty of Diana Torto\u2018s timbre, wonderful counterpoint of the trumpeter. A music enjoyable and refined. Ethereal and suggestive sounds lead the listeners on a musical journey where you can find moments of surprising energy. An amazing sound for sonic detail and a top quality of recording make this album a masterpiece audiophile.
