Un disco di grandissimo successo di critica, pubblico , testimoniato dalle cospicue vendite che hanno fatto gridare al piccolo miracolo.
\nQuesto disco, registrato questa volta in studio, ne \u00e8 la naturale prosecuzione. Il livello \u00e8 davvero strepitoso e conferma le doti di questo quintetto che davvero rappresenta una delle pi\u00f9 interessanti forze in campo dell\u2019 ultimo lustro. Una ritmica tra le pi\u00f9 quotate ormai del panorama nazionale
\n( con Bulgarelli e Mannutza in particolare gettonatissimi in altre formazioni\u2026) e due solisti che sorprendono ogni volta. Accanto a Fabrizio Bosso che ogni volta stupisce e che da pi\u00f9 parti viene ormai indicato come uno dei trombettisti pi\u00f9 performanti al mondo, il piacere di scoprire il tenorsassofonista Michele Polga, dotato di grande suono, tecnica ed eccelente espressivit\u00e0.
\nUn disco che rinnover\u00e0 sicuramente l\u2019immagine d\u2019alto rango che il jazz italiano sa proporre nel mondo. The previous record, “Michele Polga meets Fabrizio Bosso” ( Abeat abjz 097), live at Panic jazz club, was one of the greatest success in recent Italian jazz scenery. The disc obtained a great critical and public acclaim, testified by the substantial sales which did cry out to the little miracle. This new album, this time recorded in the studio, is its natural continuation. The level is truly amazing and confirms the qualities of this quintet that really is one of the most exciting forces in the field over the last five years. One of the most requested rhythmic section now on the national scene and two soloists which surprise every time. Next to Fabrizio Bosso, who amazes and by many is now listed as one of the top performing trumpet players in the world, the pleasure of discovering the tenor saxophonist Michele Polga, with great sound, excellent technique and expressiveness.
\nAn album that certainly renewe the image of high-ranking Italian jazz knows how to propose in the world. We like to recall here a comment by the great Enrico Rava about this record: The opening is quite astounding. A fast, lively theme is carried over a very solid and effective bass line… and paves the way for Polga’s powerful, engaging solo. We are instantly hooked.
\nSo is jazz alive and is it doing well? Very definitely, and with musicians such as Polga and his fellow players one can easily capture an idea of the current fortunate lot and good health of the genre.
\nFabrizio Bosso is simply incredible (as always), and we enjoy the unpredictable and strikingly creative sparks he manages to generate and admire the outstanding control of his instrument. Mannuzza, Bulgarelli and Cappellato are absolutely essential, they are imaginative, alert and reactive. It is evident that it is a pleasurable experience for all of them all but it is for us too. They listen and respond to each other, offering an essential contribution towards the unity of the band. What else can we say? This is a great, truly authentic jazz album. This is the way they used to be produced and they\u2019re increasingly rare.
\nIt is basically one of those albums that you just want to play again and again.<\/p>\n
