\nIl sound del trio risente dell’influenza rarefatta del jazz nordico e amalgama con un gusto melodico autentico e intenso che, da sempre, caratterizza la musica di Max De Aloe.
\nL’idea originale alla base di “Valo” \u00e8 far incontrare nuove composizioni dei tre musicisti con rivisitazioni di brani di musica antica.
\nSpazio a Claudio Monteverdi, Henry Purcell, ma anche ad alcune perle musicali ritrovate nella cattedrale finlandese di Turku sulla Graduale Aboense, una partitura realizzata con i neumi appartenente al XIV-XV secolo.
\nIl jazz onirico e magico del nord incontra la musica colta del passato e la grande melodia italiana e si presenta con effervescenza ed eleganza sulla scena contemporanea. Un viaggio che si tinge di atmosfere surreali e sognanti, quasi lunari, dove il fil rouge \u00e8 la luce del grande Nord che viene ridisegnata in vortici musicali a rapire l’ascoltare.
\nMax De Aloe, artista istrionico e visionario, sempre portavoce di progetti musicali ricercati e originali \u00e8 considerato da anni uno degli armonicisti pi\u00f9 attivi in Europa.
\nNiklas Winter \u00e8 un musicista eclettico, molto personale, formatosi nella prestigiosa Berklee College of Music di Boston con un’intensa attivit\u00e0 tra Nord Europa e Giappone dove ha realizzato in questi anni ben 17 tourn\u00e9e.
\nJesper Bodilsen, da anni al fianco di Stefano Bollani nel Danish trio \u00e8 vincitore del Django d’or Jazz Prize nel 2004 come migliore musicista europeo, tra i pi\u00f9 importanti riconoscimenti assoluti per chi opera nel mondo del jazz in Europa. \"\"Valo, the Finnish word for “light”, is the name of the new CD and project of Max De Aloe Baltic Trio in which the Italian musician plays with two champions of North-European jazz: the Finnish guitarist Niklas Winter and the Danish double-bass player Jesper Bodilsen.
\nThe sound of the trio is influenced by the rarefied atmosphere of the Nordic jazz, but it is mixed with the authentic melodic flavor that has always characterized Max De Aloe’s music.
\nThe idea in “Valo” is to blend original tunes, composed by the three musicians, with revised early music tunes. Among the last ones we can find Claudio Monteverdi, Henry Purcell but also some musical gems found in the Finnish cathedral in Turku on Graduale Aboense, a music score composed using neumes, dating back to the XIV and XV centuries.
\nThe rarefied and magic Nordic jazz meets the music of the past and the great Italian melody. A musical journey through surreal and dreamy atmospheres, in which the listener is ravished by the idea of the light of the Great North expressed in music.<\/p>\n

Max De Aloe, histrionic and visionary artist, leader of original and sophisticated musical projects, is considered one of the most active harmonicists in Europe.<\/p>\n

Niklas Winter is an eclectic and original musician. He studied at the well-known Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has an intense activity in Northern Europe and Japan, where he has organized 17 tours in the last few years.<\/p>\n

Jesper Bodilsen Who has been playing with Bollani Nordic Trio for years, won the Django d’oro jazz prize in 2004 as the best European musician.
