\nQuesta affermazione di Pat Metheny si attaglia perfettamente all’album Blu, volutamente scritto con armonie e melodie essenziali. Un esplicito invito alla riscoperta della semplicit\u00e0 che unitamente all\u2019eleganza e alla maestria dei musicisti coinvolti rende questo lavoro raffinato e godibile allo stesso tempo. La presenza solistica di Fabrizio Bosso alla tromba e Javier Girotto al sax, due alfieri del jazz di statura internazionale, aggiunge qui un ulteriore tassello di qualit\u00e0, grazie ad una superba espressivit\u00e0 sia nell’esposizione dei temi che nell’improvvisazione. \nThis statement by Pat Metheny fits perfectly with the Blu album, deliberately written with essential harmonies and melodies. An explicit invitation to the rediscovery of simplicity which, together with the elegance and skill of the musicians involved, makes this work refined and enjoyable at the same time. The presence of Fabrizio Bosso on trumpet and Javier Girotto on sax, two jazz standard-bearers of international stature, adds here a further piece of quality, thanks to a superb expressiveness both in the exposition of the themes and in improvisation. The solidity of the rhythmic section completes the picture of a work that makes overall harmony, understood as the perfect balance of its structural components, a record of excellent quality in its simple and minimalist guise. The color blue is the inspirational theme: blue dominates the sense of hearing, it is the symbol of space, harmony and balance. It represents the sea, the sky, the ice, it is the color of great depth and encourages introspection, sensitivity, calm.
