Nell a musica jazz l’anima \u00e8 rappresentata dallo spirito improvvisativo. Senza improvvisazione non c’\u00e8 jazz e questo credo sia l’argomento pi\u00f9 indiscusso quando si animano le discussione sulla musica. Quando a trovarsi in uno studio di registrazione sono tre alfieri del jazz italiano e non solo, non si pu\u00f2 che gioire. Ed in effetti la gioia, il divertimento, un interplay misterioso quanto creativo sono, gli umili, semplici e quanto mai efficaci ingredienti di questo meraviglioso disco. Many historic recordings have at times been the result of apparently occasional sessions. Sometimes this type of approach makes you turn up your nose because it is thought that poor planning is synonymous with “improvisation”. An oxymoron! In jazz music, the soul is represented by the improvisational spirit. Without improvisation there is no jazz and I think this is the most undisputed topic when discussions about music are animated. When three standard bearers of Italian jazz (and more) are in a recording studio, one can only rejoice. And in fact the joy, the fun, an interplay as mysterious as they are creative, the humble, are simple and very effective ingredients of this wonderful album. Dado Moroni’s swing is universally recognized and with the masterful support of Giovanni Scasciamacchia and Giuseppe Bassi, we are at the highest levels. A recording session that brings together all the great fans of both tradition and modernity, thanks to the original stylistic inventions to which the three know how to give life.
