Ebbene, Jazz & Movies II \u00e8 un viaggio appassionato, divertito, a tratti commosso e imprevedibile tra i telefilm polizieschi e i legal thriller degli anni 60\u2019, \u201970 e \u201980, tra i cult di fantascienza e i cult maledetti degli anni \u201970, rievocati dalle loro sigle e colonne sonore riproposte in chiave jazzistica. La forma privilegiata \u00e8 la suite, che permette ad ogni brano di compiere a sua volta un piccolo viaggio in pi\u00f9 direzioni, proponendo una sintesi dei linguaggi che hanno caratterizzato le varie epoche del jazz. Si va quindi dal dixieland e lo stride piano di Cantina Band al funky ed electric jazz di Ironside Suite, passando per le rarefatte atmosfere Weehleriane di M.A.S.H. e le contaminazioni afro-free di The Saint Suite e, nell\u2019ambito delle articolate strutture di ogni brano, si aprono ampi spazi solistici e di interplay.
\nI temi evocativi, gli arrangiamenti imprevedibili, i suoni personalissimi dei musicisti e la proposta complessiva del progetto fanno di Jazz & Movies II un disco godibile e sincero, in cui traspaiono la passione e il divertimento dei musicisti che l\u2019hanno realizzato e un intento serio ma non \u201cserioso\u201d.\"\"Film music is evocative of images and jazz is evocative of eras: what the best ingredients for the soundtrack for a journey? Well, Jazz & Movies II is a passionate journey, amused, sometimes touched and unpredictable, among Detective TV series and Legal thrillers from the 60s, 70s and 80s, among Science Fiction Cult movies and Damn movies from the 70s, all of them evoked by themes and soundtracks BJBU proposes in jazz style. The preferred form is the suite, which allows each tune to perform a little journey in several directions, offering a synthesis of those languages that have characterized the various eras of jazz. They range from the Dixieland and stride piano of Cantina Band to the funky and electric jazz of Ironside Suite, passing through the Wheelerian rarefied atmospheres of M.A.S.H. and the afro-free contaminations of The Saint Suite and you can find, within the articulated structures of each tune, wide space for open solos and interplay.
