\nMezza Milzow Project \u00e8 un progetto internazionale avviato dal pianista italiano Vittorio Mezza e David Milzow, eccellente saxofonista e docente tedesco, con la collaborazione di Ettore Fioravanti (tra i maggiori batteristi italiani). Vittorio Mezza \u00e8 artista dalle doti straordinarie, tocco raffinato , elegante e cristallino. Il suo \u00e8 un pianismo che attinge sapientemente alla tradizione jazzistica per esplorare nuove frontiere stilistiche e dispiegarsi in chiave autonoma ed originale. Il suo precedente lavoro per Abeat ( Vittorio mezza trio, 2010) \u00e8 stato inserito nella lista dei 100 cds dell\u2019anno ai Jazzit-awards. Con il seguente lavoro in piano solo ( Life process, sempre Abeat 2012) ha ulteriormente confsolidato un notevole successo di critica e di appassionati. David Milzow \u00e8 una delle migliori realt\u00e0 del panorama jazzistico tedesco degli ultimi anni ( vincitore di alcuni awards come miglior sassofonista in Germania). Milzow e Mezza insieme hanno dato vita a questo nuovo lavoro, la cui musica \u00e8 stata appositamente scritta per saxofoni, pianoforte acustico e fender rhodes, batteria e percussioni. Il risultato \u00e8 un cd dal sound abbastanza particolare ed interessante, non legato \u201ctrictu sensu\u201d al jazz, ma di matrice contemporanea e molto adatto alle immagini, con dieci tracce piuttosto eterogenee. Hanno esteso la collaborazione al grande batterista italiano Ettore Fioravanti (accanto a Paolo Fresu nel suo quintetto storico\u2026) \u00e8 gi\u00e0 partner abituale di Mezza in precedenti lavori.
\nLa musica si snoda in percorsi di sovrapposizione ritmico-melodica e armonica su diversi piani, il silenzio diventa uno spazio di sviluppo ideale per le trame del dialogo improvvisativo, un luogo fondamentale dove il suono si riaccende in linee che assumono una nuova e positiva connotazione nel vuoto. Il risultato \u00e8 davvero originale, raffinato e moderno. Eccellente alternativa alle consuete proposte stereotipate. \nPianist Vittorio Mezza and Saxophonist David Milzow, two musicians, who began a musical relationship, which stands for contemporary Jazz as an European meeting between Italy and Germany:
