Perigeo One Shot Reunion \u00e8 l’ultima imperdibile occasione per ascoltare dal vivo la storica band<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\nSignori un evento assolutamente unico. <\/strong>I mitici Perigeo<\/strong> si ripresentano a distanza di diverse decadi con una operazione davvero eccezionale, frutto di una One Shot reunion, nell\u2019anno 2019 a Firenze,\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0capitolo davvero unico e finale di questa gloriosa formazione sul palco di Piazza della Santissima Annunziata. Agli storici membri Giovanni Tommaso<\/strong>, Bruno Biriaco<\/strong> Claudio Fasoli<\/strong> e Tony Sidney<\/strong> si aggiungono Claudio Filippini<\/strong> a piano e tastiere e Alex \u201cPacho\u201d Rossi<\/strong> alle percussioni. Il concerto \u00e8 strepitoso e vengono presentati brani tratti da tutti gli album dello storico sodalizio. Il Perigeo<\/strong> \u00e8 una pietra miliare in due generi musicali diversi ma contigui: il jazz e il prog, con una punta di psichedelia che getta un ponte fra Sun Ra e i Pink Floyd. Nato nel 1971 per volont\u00e0 del contrabbassista Giovanni Tommaso, il Perigeo ha rappresentato la via italiana al jazz-rock nel periodo d\u2019oro di questo genere musicale, con una formazione in grado di gareggiare a testa alta con i giganti d\u2019oltreoceano, come i Weather report. L\u2019uscita del live \u201cOne shot reunion\u201d cade esattamente a 50 anni dalla pubblicazione del primo disco \u201cAzimut\u201d, che riunisce la formazione storica: Giovanni Tommaso<\/strong>, bassista e ispiratore del gruppo, Bruno Biriaco<\/strong> alla batteria, Claudio Fasoli<\/strong> al sax, Franco D\u2019Andrea<\/strong> alle tastiere e Tony Sidney<\/strong> alle chitarre. Nella sua breve avventura, conclusa nel 1977, la band mette insieme varie anime del jazz italiano, provenienti da aree geografiche e musicali differenti, con l\u2019aggiunta di una punta di rock americano. La formula non \u00e8 certo nuova, ma segue un percorso evolutivo fortemente caratterizzato da una componente melodica e armonica originale, che sovente si apre a influenze mediterranee, portando freschezza e una precisa identit\u00e0 al gruppo, cos\u00ec da farne un caso unico, lontano degli schemi abituali. La chitarra graffiante, la punta psichedelica, i frequenti cambi di atmosfera, portano al Perigeo anche il pubblico del rock progressivo, garantendo un successo e una fama inusitati per chi viene dal mondo del jazz. Fin dalla sua nascita a Roma, il sodalizio viene messo sotto contratto dalla Rca, partecipando a importanti festival nazionali, come quello del progressive italiano a Villa Pamphili, ma anche all’estero, soprattutto in Inghilterra e in Francia.Nel 1973, con il celebre album Abbiamo tutti un blues da piangere<\/strong>, prende forma il jazz-prog, in cui si definisce meglio l\u2019identit\u00e0 musicale, con ampi spazi di improvvisazione e lunghi soli. Con Genealogia<\/strong>, nel 1974, la commistione dei diversi generi musicali si fa pi\u00f9 accentuata. La valle dei templi<\/strong> nasce dopo un tour europeo a spalla dei Weather report. Qui la ritmica esplode, colorata dalla partecipazione di Tony Esposito alle percussioni. Ma \u00e8 la scrittura dei brani, unita a influenze funk, che fa fare un ulteriore balzo in avanti al Perigeo, suggellato da un buon successo commerciale anche fuori dall\u2019Italia. Nel 1976 viene registrato in Canada Non \u00e8 poi cos\u00ec lontano<\/strong>, pi\u00f9 orecchiabile e con spazi ai virtuosismi, ma l\u2019avventura \u00e8 giunta ormai al termine e, dopo un fortunato tour, la band si scioglie. Il Perigeo torna a farsi vivo in diverse occasioni: nel 1980, con la stessa lineup e il nome di Perigeo special,<\/em> pubblica un concept album dedicato ad \u201cAlice nel paese delle meraviglie\u201d. L\u2019album Alice<\/strong>, ha un taglio pop e ospita cantanti come Lucio Dalla, Anna Oxa e Rino Gaetano. Di seguito prender\u00e0 vita anche il New Perigeo, con una formazione completamente nuova, fatta eccezione per Giovanni Tommaso. Negli anni a seguire il Perigeo d\u00e0 vita a qualche reunion. Nel 1993 celebra i venti anni di Umbria jazz con la formazione originale, eccettuato il batterista Bruno Biriaco, momentaneamente sostituito da Roberto Gatto, perch\u00e9 in quegli anni Biriaco aveva abbandonato lo strumento a favore della direzione d\u2019orchestra. Il quintetto \u00e8 rafforzato dal percussionista Naco, un genio del suo strumento, scomparso prematuramente. Nel 2008 suonano a Roma e Firenze con Bruno Biriaco di nuovo al suo posto. Alla formazione classica manca Franco D\u2019Andrea, che lascia il passo a Claudio Filippini. D\u2019Andrea, che ha deciso di non suonare pi\u00f9 le tastiere elettroniche, non far\u00e0 pi\u00f9 parte neanche della successiva reunion. Nel 2019 \u00e8 il turno della \u201cOne shot reunion\u201d fiorentina, capitolo finale di questa gloriosa formazione sul palco di Piazza della Santissima Annunziata. The release of the live “One shot reunion” falls exactly 50 years after the release of the first album “Azimut”, which brings together the historical formation: Giovanni Tommaso, bassist and inspirer of the group, Bruno Biriaco on drums, Claudio Fasoli on sax, Franco D’Andrea on keyboards and Tony Sidney on guitars. In its short adventure, which ended in 1977, the band brings together various souls of Italian jazz, coming from different geographical and musical areas, with the addition of a hint of American rock. The formula is certainly not new, but follows an evolutionary path strongly characterized by an original melodic and harmonic component, which often opens up to Mediterranean influences, bringing freshness and a precise identity to the group, so as to make it a unique case, far from the usual patterns. . The biting guitar, the psychedelic tip, the frequent changes of atmosphere, also bring the progressive rock public to the Perigeo, guaranteeing an unusual success and fame for those coming from the world of jazz. Since its inception in Rome, the association has been put under contract by the RCA, participating in important national festivals, such as that of the Italian progressive in Villa Pamphili, but also abroad, especially in England and France. In 1973, with the famous album We all have a blues to cry, jazz-prog takes shape, in which the musical identity is better defined, with ample space for improvisation and long solos. With Genealogia, in 1974, the mixture of different musical genres becomes more accentuated. The valley of the temples was born after a European tour on the shoulder of the Weather report. Here the rhythm explodes, colored by Tony Esposito’s participation in percussion. But it is the writing of the songs, combined with funk influences, that makes Perigeo make a further leap forward, sealed by a good commercial success even outside Italy. In 1976 it was recorded in Canada. It is not that far away, more catchy and with room for virtuosity, but the adventure has now come to an end and, after a successful tour, the band disbanded. Il Perigeo comes back on several occasions: in 1980, with the same lineup and the name of Perigeo special, it publishes a concept album dedicated to \u201cAlice in Wonderland\u201d. The Alice album has a pop cut and hosts singers such as Lucio Dalla, Anna Oxa and Rino Gaetano. Later the New Perigeo will also come to life, with a completely new formation, except for Giovanni Tommaso. In the following years, the Perigeo gives life to some reunions.
