Ci hanno infatti regalato una delle prime, assolutamente straordinarie, opere del genere: la celebre \u201cRapsodia in blu\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>John Lewis si \u00e8 mosso nella stessa direzione di Gershwin, ma da una visione ed esperienza molto diversa. Lewis, oltre ad essere un grande e fine pianista jazz, era profondamente innamorato della musica di Bach e fin dai primi anni della sua carriera ha fatto del binomio blues\/Bach il vessillo della sua vita artistica. \u00a0\u00c8 a questa concezione musicale e all&#8217;arte compositiva di John Lewis che, a poco pi\u00f9 di due decenni dalla sua scomparsa, <strong>Enrico Pieranunzi trio<\/strong> e L\u2019orchestra diretta da <strong>Michele Corcella<\/strong>, vogliono rendere omaggio. I brani di Lewis sono stati rielaborati e orchestrati per l&#8217;occasione con un ensemble che, per certi versi, \u00e8 esso stesso un crossover nel crossover (trio jazz pi\u00f9 quintetto d&#8217;archi e quintetto di fiati).<\/p>\n<p>Un\u2019 operazione di caratura straordinaria che meritava la replica anche su vinile. \u00c8 nata perci\u00f2 questa tiratura limitata e curatissima in ogni dettaglio che, grazie alla purezza timbrica, la qualit\u00e0 degli arrangiamenti e l\u2019eccellenza assoluta degli interpreti ci regala davvero un disco da non perdere. Blues And Bach, the legendary work composed by John Lewis who realized the dream of merging two distant musical worlds as Blues and Bach. In the more specific field of jazz\/classical crossover, the 1920s were crucial. In fact, they gave us one of the first, absolutely extraordinary works of the genre: the famous &#8220;Rhapsody in blue&#8221;. John Lewis moved in the same direction as Gershwin, but from a very different vision and experience. Lewis, in addition to being a great and refined jazz pianist, was deeply in love with Bach&#8217;s music and from the early years of his career onward made the blues\/Bach pair the banner of his artistic life. It is to this musical conception and to the compositional art of John Lewis that, a little more than two decades after his death, Enrico Pieranunzi trio and the Orchestra conducted by Michele Corcella wish to pay tribute. Lewis&#8217;s pieces have been reworked and orchestrated for the occasion with an ensemble that, in some ways, is itself a crossover within a crossover (jazz trio plus string quintet and wind quintet). An operation of extraordinary caliber that deserved to be replicated on vinyl as well. Therefore this limited edition was born, with attention to every detail which, thanks to the purity of the timbre, the quality of the arrangements and the absolute excellence of the performers, really gives us an album not to be missed.
