Il disco Wondeland della cantante Sonia Spinello guest Roberto Olzer trio, si è aggiudicato il primo posto assoluto nella categoria miglior album voce femminile, nel prestigioso award indetto dalla rivista giapponese “critique magazine”. Vincere equivale ad un Grammy audiofilo. Le componenti che decretano la vittoria sono sia l’alto profilo sonico sia la bontà artistica generale, che degli interpreti finanche la qualità degli arrangiamenti.
“Wonderland” nasce dall’amore per le composizioni di uno dei più grandi artisti della scena pop mondiale che più ha influenzato la musica contemporanea a 360 gradi: Stevie Wonder, massimo esponente della black e soul music. Un viaggio in chiave jazz nella vita e nella musica di questo grandissimo artista senza voler snaturare l’essenza dei suoi brani. Sonia Spinello sa interpretare con emotività ogni parola, vivendo e trasmettendo l’emozione di ogni storia. L’ ascolto, reso suggestivo grazie all’essenzialità degli arrangiamenti dei suoi brani più struggenti e carichi di pathos, lascia spazio ai colori e alla leggerezza della voce. N.B. E’ la seconda vola nel volgere di pochi anni che l’etichetta italiana Abeat trionfa all’interno di questo prestigioso award. Era già successo infatti tre anni fa con il disco proprio del trio di Roberto Olzer, intitolato “Steppin out”, trionfatore nella categoria miglior disco strumentale dell’anno. Come spesso accade è un successo all’estero che infonde poi forza propulsiva al mercato italiano che notoriamente fatica a riconoscere, soprattutto nell’ambito della musica proposta dalle etichette indipendenti, la qualità delle proposte nazionali, privilegiando, forse per una marcata esterofilia quella straniera.
