Testimonianza in chiave discografica di un mirabile concerto tenutosi all’interno della Miniera “La Bagnada” a Lanzada, Valmalenco. Il duo trombone-percussioni è certamente una rarità e qui siamo al cospetto di due artisti d’eccellenza. Il riverbero naturale e le circostanze ambientali hanno certamente contribuito alla qualità di questa registrazione oltre ad un repertorio di brani originali molto efficaci.
Beppe Caruso è ritenuto tra i migliori performer nazionali di trombone. Francesco D’auria, sommo batterista e percussionista, è tra i più originali interpreti di tutto ciò che emette suono o rumore: spesso suona strumenti di sua concezione e costruzione. Tra le altre cose è musicista che ha contribuito a perfezionare la tecnica costruttiva dello strumento “hang” di cui è anche uno dei più brillanti interpreti. Suggestivo!
A recording session of a wonderful concert held within the Mine “La Bagnada” in Lanzada, Valmalenco, Italy. The duet of trombone & percussion is certainly a rarity, and here we are in the presence of two artists of excellence. The natural reverberation and the environmental circumstances have certainly contributed to the quality of this recording as well as a very effective repertoire of original songs.
Beppe Caruso is considered among the best national trombone player. Francesco D’Auria, drummer and percussionist, is among the most original interpreters of all that emits sound or noise, he conceives and builds some tools which he usually plays. Among other things is a musician who helped perfect the construction technique of “hang”: he is certainly one of the most brilliant interpreters of this unique instrument.
