Il disco ha in se una grande sorpresa poichè parte del repertorio riguarda brani le cui partiture manoscritte sono state recentemente recuperate da una fondazione americana a lui espressamente dedicata. Non mancano anche alcuni standards divenutii celebri soprattutto grazie ai suoi arrangiamenti.Arrangiamenti per big band, a cura di Fiorenzo Zeni, Luigi Grata e dello stesso Gerry Mulligan. Un’opera moderna che ripropone Mulligan con una orchetrazione, un sound ed una freschezza timbrica targata nuovo millennio.
